Eva Tornallyay enjoyed more than 20 successful years in international tourism, business and product development, client and people management, 10 of which were as company owner. Following burnout at 45, Eva retrained and transitioned to coaching.
Founder of Kalangu Coaching, Eva is now a business, career transition and intercultural coach. Intercultural business skills means Eva is both dynamic and sensitive to the needs of her international clients working in jobs they dislike. Consequently, she created the Dream Work Project, a career re-designing programme that helps clients transition towards a happier career. Currently, Eva is working with professionals in management development in tourism and other related organisations in Budapest, Barcelona, Lisbon and London.
Writing professionally came as a surprise to Eva, who only recently started writing. Good story tellers make good listeners and hearing other people’s stories have always inspired her, especially how they handle major challenges. Her blog has become a unique medium for learning lessons from real stories which has become an exciting extension to her coaching practice. From the blog it was an easy step to say yes to write for Dawn Campbell’s Dial A Guru series of self-help personal and business books.
A global nomad; Eva was born in Hungary, spent her teens in West Africa and as an adult she also lived in Barcelona, Spain. Her multicultural background and years of working within other cultures has proved to her that simple conversations, genuine curiosity and respect are the foundations to a successful business relationship which prove an endless source of learning new ideas and self-development.
In her coaching practice she combines the values and habits she experienced in other cultures with her background in psychodrama and Gestalt coaching. In her free time she is a passionate traveller, scuba diver and NIA dancer.
