When I was twelve years old, I was disheartened that a poor neighborhood, up the mountains, had a schoolhouse in terrible condition and had no teacher.  My parents and a group of neighbors decided to work on rebuilding the school house, and with the help of the city; finding teachers.  This was successfully accomplished two and half years later.  In the meantime, I spent my Saturday mornings teaching these kids how to read and write.  A job I continued to do until graduating from high school.  Growing up in a family, where we were taught to think that helping others, whenever it was possible, was the right thing to do.

Therefore, following this experience I chose teacher training for my college education.  But, during a trip to Mexico City, I was amazed at a sports center for kids, where the children enjoyed their experiences and left with a smile on their faces.  This defined my graduate choice and I select to study Human Movement for my Master’s and Doctorate Degrees at Boston University.

Upon my return, I worked, at national level, for the Sports Agency, and with various sports associations.  What really attracted me was working with the athletes.  However, getting an appointment to work with the athletes were based on government politics; hence, I decided to pursue a career in sports marketing.  At the time, it had become a new trend; and although it was a great experience, I missed not having to work with people.  After several years of working in sports marketing; when the owners of a new Inn, still under construction, offered me the job to manage it, I took this challenge as my own.

It started as a newly launched B&B in a beautiful setting, and seven and a half years later, I passed them back a property with a good reputation in the B&B world.  An amazing experience, where I was always trying to do my best to help the people I met from all over the world and from all walks of life.
